She was visiting from Austin. She left Vegas last year and as shocked and impressed as I was, I applauded her. She invited her musically inclined cousin Sindy and somehow she perfected the atmosphere. She always finds a way to move to a beat and I love passionate people.
I was consuming alcohol and evidently faster than I was aware of. Everyone was having a fantastic time though and all I had left to do was capture the times everyone was happy.
It felt like a family gathering was happening. I was also holding onto my sobriety with the tips of my fingers so I was holding a lot together.
For whatever biological reason, I blacked out soon after. Still, one of the coolest nights in a while.
Here are the rest of the photos from that night:

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there was also a barber (@lxvestudios) sponsored by Buchanan. They gave everyone a free cleanup/fade and I was in need of some cleaning up :D

Tacos are in.
I still remember Bad Bunny saying "This is how I sleep" in this picture, lmao.
I seriously thought this photographer that came with Bad Bunny looked so much like McLuvin. I'm pretty sure people have told him that so he probably doesn't care, haha.
Of course, the big toast to the Latin Billboards with J. Balvin and Bad Bunny.

There is a rawness to her character that it is refreshing.
This is Winnie. She is from Singapore, always in pursuit of leaving Singapore to go after her dreams. She has done much more than most people her age but I'm not sure she realizes it. It did not take me very long to see that she had a very good heart.
After all the circus performances, business deals, books, fitness competitions, fire breathing, gains, losses, and literal cuts and bruises from life, this is her. She is confident to enjoy being naked and brave to be emotionally bare as well.
Itzel, pictured, editing photos she just shot, keeping the flow going to get them published as soon as possible.
Interviews went back to back and it was sometimes a challenge to keep everything going smoothly. Here, Isabelia is at work.
These guys were the crew I was a part of. Rodrigo, Rafael, and Juan, sitting in the room where I think we spent the most time at.
Most artists preferred to have a drink before or after their interviews. This guy had the good job title of "tequila shot giver". Okay, maybe not officially but he did offer me one too, which I had to decline since I still had other interviews to help with.
Upstairs, a recording studio was made in the shower. I personally thought it was genious! I can't wait to see the final product from here.
My friend Sindy is seen here demonstrating her abilities to sing. I honestly think she could easily do great. She has already built up her talent to perform, so singing--I don't think--is very far from her to excel at.
"El Pio", as they nicknamed him. This guy is hilarious! Only regret is that I didn't really get to know him that well in the time I was there.
Some snaps of other interviews that probably speak for themselves :).
The rest of the crew, post work, rightfully celebrating! The moment I got to have a beer with them too. Very satisfying moment with great people :)
Here's one of the few pictures taken of me. This was at the Buchanan afterparty at the Delano.
The guy on the right is my buddy, Edwin, but I do not recall who his friend is. Nonetheless, awesome time at the afterparty!
Here's a slideshow of the complete album from this event. Mostly BTS. :)

Anyway, here's a video I put together from this year's Sevenstock along with some pictures. Cheers!
Dan Busting out the first beer after arriving at the hotel.
Most of the Vegas crew here having dinner before the big day on Saturday.
Dan (grey chucks) trying to comfort Oun (racing suit) after he realized that there is no spoon. I mean spool. I mean, just kidding, they were just chatting and I thought this was a cool shot open to interpretation. :D

What better place than The Nerd to host the after party. They have a host of things game consoles, pool tables, bowling, and even hookah. I can't decide if I like the games more or the DJ mixing video-game-inspired jams. Anyone that hasn't been there should at least stop by and check it out sometime.

Cover charge was only $15, which I think is very fair considering you're also supporting local artists. I would definitely go to this type of event again.
Kurumpaw has an interesting sound. They have a very catchy cumbia song while the other songs are a mix of indie and and alternative--at least, those are my thoughts. As much as I am a fan of their current style, I can't wait to see what their style will evolve into.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see much of We Are Pancakes although I did hear that their lead singer is in the hospital. I don't know what condition he's in or if it's something life-threatening, but they played on anyway. I sure hope he recovers soon though, whatever he's going through.
-----------------------
The Acid Sisters were also very good. All their members seem to play like veterans and play very well together. The keyboardist, Liz, is an old friend of mine that I hadn't seen in a long while, before she got into the band so it was great to see what she had been up to on her downtime.

If you like to have a good drink to savor and enjoy over good conversation, this is definitely a must. Highly recommend you check it out if you haven't already.
Here's the photographic documentation I captured from last night's shenanigans. Bonus points for you if you were there as well!

Special thanks to Claudia, Eddie, and Neb for helping me access the festival this year! :D

Anywho, here are some pictures I took.. :)

Gotta say, it was quite an adventure to drive to Cali and back the same day just to see Lilly Wood & the Prick but totally worth it! Hearing them live was what I expected and more. If you haven't heard of them, I at least suggest you check out their music.
Here's a slideshow of more pictures I took that night along with a short trailer of Freedom Fry--also a great band that I heard for the first time :)
I got lucky and got a picture taken with Lilly herself!! :D
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

Check out this video on the construction of this 57 story building where a factory prefabricated much of it offsite and essentially put together on site like legos. Freaking amazing!
The crazy part? The company that is doing this is still constructing faster and faster!
When the Koroks went up I just had to go backstage to get some behind the scenes shots. I personally like their style and use of a synthesizer; very catchy.
Check out the pictures from the event! :)

Anywho, here are some pictures I snapped from SEMA. I didn't quite get to see everything because of school projects and gigs but I saw enough to satisfy me. :)

The musicians/artists line up was reasonable for what you paid but what I did not expect was the atmosphere that it created: the people were all awesome and friendly, the whole place was plastered with artwork, and the food--oh my god the food. It was a unique experience that felt like much more than a festival and I cannot wait to do it again.
There were hardly any down sides to the whole event. One of them was cell phone communication; in fact, it was often delayed by up to a half hour. If I wanted to meet with friends I had to tell them to meet me at certain location with at least a 30 minute notice. The other thing that really bugged me (and probably 90% of the crowd) is that they had Empire of the Sun perform at the same time as The Killers. Since I thought Empire of the Sun was harder to catch live, I decided to see The Killers open and 2 songs later I walked over to see the rest of Empire of the Sun. Quite frankly I think that worked out very well because (sorry Killers) they put on a hell of a show!
At any rate, here are some pictures from the festival. Enjoy!
